COLUMBIA - Seventeen students from two classes for extraordinary requirements children fly high above their teachers and peers at West Marion Primary School last week in a display that paper chains, pickles, rabbits and popcorn sale earnings could lend a hand find a cure for cancer.
West Marion augmented more than $11,000 for Marion County Relay for Life. As a reward for their own efforts, the American Cancer Society set for tethered hot air balloon rides for students in the two classes, which raised the most money.
