HELIUM
You should look in your local Yellow Pages for your helium. You can usually find it under “Gas - Industrial & Medical - Cylinder & Bulk”. These suppliers sell many different types of compressed gases, including helium. Most suppliers have a “large tank” which will contain either 250 or about 300 cubic feet. This is how the helium suppliers sell the gas inside the tank. The helium should cost approximately 10 cents for each balloon you inflate. You will have to pay a delivery fee and a monthly rental charge on the tank or tanks you keep at your store.

We also have a nationwide source for helium. Once you have gotten a price from your local supplier, you can call SKILL at 800-329-0010 and ask for Andrea. Their price can be better than your local source, depending on your location.

Your helium tank should be checked when received to make sure that it is full. A 250 cubic foot size tank will measure 2000 psi (pounds of pressure per square inch), and the 300 size should measure 2500 psi. Tanks should be turned off when not in use to avoid putting undue pressure on the o-ring of the regulator.

REGULATOR (INFLATOR)
We supply the regulator (inflator) that attaches to the helium tank. The helium distributor may want to sell you a regulator, but the one we offer is very specific and fits your needs. Our regulator is GUARANTEED for two years, except for abuse, such as dropping. Our regulator has FIVE important features: a “flex-tip” inflator for the latex (rubber) balloons; an “auto-fill” inflator which fills the foil balloons and shuts off when the foil balloon is full; a guage which tells you how much helium is in the tank (it measures the helium by gauging its pressure or psi); a “disc-tying post” which allows you to use discs (sold in the opening “package”) to tie your latex (rubber) balloons; and a ribbon cutter to cut the ribbon off at the right length once the balloon has been inflated.

SECURING THE HELIUM TANK
You need to secure the helium tank (s) to your wall. The Fire Marshall will insist on it. We include a Cylinder Wall bracket in the opening “package”. You will need to secure each tank.

CYLINDER COVER
Most cylinders (tanks) are dirty and have a brown, rust-like color. We suggest a tank cover to hide this color and dirt and make the tank attractive since it will sit behind your counter. We feature an attractive blue and white stripe cover.
